Cotton Tale Designs Paradise Musical Mobile
First of all, a minor disclaimer- even though I bought this about 6 months ago, it looks like they have made some minor changes: 1) the fabric on the arm looks to be greenish-yellow; the one I have is leopard print. 2) The dragonflies appear to be oriented parallel to the mattress; mine has them hanging from their noses, perpendicular to the mattress (which is less visible from below, where baby is laying). This is definitely an improvement. Apart from that it appears to be the same basic mobile.
Why 2 stars? The set itself (with bedding etc) is adorable and very cute, great design! But despite this being an adorable mobile that matches well with the set, I really regret buying this one instead of one of the more nifty ones such as those made by tiny love. The main reason? It winds up. I thought I wouldn’t mind, but when baby needs a distraction, it’s a HUGE drag to go in again and again to wind it up. It only plays for ~5 minutes. Second, other mobiles have much more interesting stuff to look at. Third, many of the other ones have a musical base which later converts to a musical crib toy, with buttons the kids can push to play tunes. This does not- and I’d really like to have the crib music player.
I can’t quite bring myself to buy a better one, but I wish I hadn’t bought this. Instead, I wish I had boughtTiny Love Sweet Island Dreams Mobile or Fisher Price Rainforest Peek-A-Boo Leaves Musical Mobile
