Magnolia Organics Dream Collection 400 Thread Count Sheet Set

I am intrigued when I learn that a product is earth friendly and 100% organic. I found these sheets after an extensive search for bed linens not produced in Chinese prisons by shackled toddlers. I’ve done extensive research on the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), so I’ve used that as my de facto standard of quality and honesty in advertising. After this preliminary research, I ordered the 300 thread count 4 piece sheet set with two pillow cases, a fitted sheet and a top sheet. They arrived in a delightful reusable tote bag that accompanies me when I go to the Farmers Market for fresh fruit and flower arrangements. I get lots of compliments on the aethetics of the magnolia tree that adorns the tote bag. I hang it on the doorknob of my apartment and the paperboy puts the newspaper in it. On Saturday evenings, I put a handful of skittles in the bag and they are gone on Sunday morning, replaced with the Sunday edition of the Times. This is our little newspaper boy game. I’ve never seen him but he sometimes sprays my newspaper with a hint of Drakkar Noir and I let my imagination run wild. Back to the sheets, I first washed them although they were clean and soft right out of the bag. I removed one of the pillowcases because I live alone and I now use that as a fanciful toiletries caddy in my bathroom. I’ve sewn a nice cuff around the edge and clipped it over a towel bar and I keep my shampoos and soaps in it. It works well. After washing, I put the sheets on my bed and, to get in the mood, took a warm bath and then laid down upon these beautiful sheets. What can I tell you? I’ve owned many sheets over the years and these are the best. They feel soft and warm like a dewy kitten, my body slides across them like a Sunday newspaper into a clean plastic bag. I arc my back and again remember the handleful of Skittles that I must commit to the tote bag on my doorknob. Settling down on my new soft sheets on this Saturday night, I pour myself a glass of Chianti and rub my sheets between my fingers and thumb – 300 thread count feels good and reminds me of cool Denver evenings in the city. Bottel threee Chinanti is ymmier. Newspaerp boy comes soon. HAnds stained red and green with skitles. Melts in your hand HAA!@ Not like m& Ms. Newspaepre boy down the hallwaya, I leap out and grab arms knocking down in hallway, newspaers all over, boy runs down stairs breakign teeth on bannister, DOn’t be scared. LOVe me!! Timefor sleep. Sheets soft nad orgnaix.

These sheets are a steal. Organic? Fair labor? In addition to which they have the basics covered nicely: they fit my mattress, are sewn well, feel great to sleep on, and the chocolate pinstripes are pretty. I’ve already been complimented on the bag they shipped in, which I’m using grocery shopping!

I have somehow gone two years with just one set of sheets for our bed. Of course this meant I had to launder them frequently, and they were starting to wear. The existing set was plain old white, so I decided to get something a bit darker this time around. I searched for organic cotton, since I’m trying to make the move to all organic bedding as I replace older pieces. I chose these Magnolia sheets because the colors looked rich, and the price seemed fair. I was pleasantly surprised when these sheets came packaged in a reusable cotton tote bag–I can never have too many of those for shopping! The sheets themselves were super soft right out of the bag, but I washed them before putting them on the bed. I figured they’d lose some of that remarkable softness after the first wash, but they did not. After several washes now, they are still as richly chocolate brown and super soft as the first time I put them on the bed. They feel GOOD. I will be buying additional sets in the other colors.

I am something of a sheet snob, and these really impressed me. They look and feel much more expensive. The tote bag they come in is a wonderful added bonus. I bought them as a gift and will be buying more for myself.

I received a set of sheets (white w/ piping) in the last year, and I must say that they have not only met, but exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, they are incredibly soft. I even use the top sheet – and i am one of those heathens who loathe the top sheet. They also have worn very well after repeated washings. For the thread count, they’re not very wrinkly. I would definitely get more, and give them as gifts. As a bonus, the messenger bag packaging is pretty cool.
