Is a “green” building a big tourist attraction?

Our company is looking to relocate and some say we would do well to be in a "green" building to attract attention and foot traffic.

  • You would certainly get a lot of free advertising out of doing something like that…. the news would be all over it.

I don’t know about attracting customers…. unless you employ something very innovative, eye-popping, and unique.

  • umm no, not typically. I mean most “normal” people can not tell what is green and what is not…especially when it comes to construction and design. I mean you might get a few extra “greenies” in and about your store…but i have never know a “green” building to be a tourist attraction…i mean unless it was crazy green like made of mud and recycled glass bottles.

  • If you want uninformed wanna be urban hippies to frequent your establishment then yes this would be a good idea.
