why does organic food take longer to cook?

i have been a bit food conscious since i started weaning my baby and mostly i cook organic food for her..i have noticed it takes longer to cook. also i dont give her normal chicken instead i get corn fed chicken and that takes longer to cook.

Sounds like you have a tough chicken, its not supposed to take any longer.
My natural chickens cook real quick, a whole one maybe 40 minutes to an hour

  • Jesuslov, organic produce does not take any longer to cook than normal. Also corn fed, free range or battery chickens also take the same amount of time. I use free range here, and haven’t noticed any difference in cooking duration. Organic vegetables that I buy from the farmers markets when they start are no different in cooking time.

    A corn fed chicken is a plain normal chicken, the only difference is the feed, and the colour.and taste.
